Reforestation of 7% of the Philippines
Synopsis
The IVAFMS
Foundation is embarked on reforesting 7% of the entire country’s
landmass. Its implementation plan will result in 1% reforestation at the
grassroots level. An additional 6%
reforestation will develop from voluntary replication, and even more rapidly
than the mother project itself.
The commerce matrix target is USD16.95 billion to the GDP within 15
years, sustainable.
Sponsorship
and partners are actively being sought for immediate support. The Foundation is a not-for-profit
forestry management services organization teaching practical application of its
Capacity Building Agroforestry Advocacy technology at the grassroots, while
building a locally based economy.

Summary
The IVAFMS
Foundation is reforesting 7% of the entire country utilizing minuscule
nurseries, mature botanical resources, biodiversity, voluntary replication and
agroforestry at the grassroots level to create a locally based economy within
the 25-year project period. The
commerce matrix will contribute more than USD16.95 billion to the GDP within 15
years, representing “critical mass” expanding growth to more than USD2
trillion. The Philippines will
rapidly approach First World status.
Sponsorship and Partners
Sponsorship
and partners are actively being sought immediately to support the Foundation, which
is a not-for-profit forestry management services organization that teaches
practical application of Capacity Building Agroforestry Advocacy at the
grassroots level to help build a locally based economy.
Climate Change
The shift
of centralized urban processing to miniature local processing will lessen GHG
emissions. Slash and burn will succumb
to locally produced organic fertilizers at near give-a-way prices.
Economic Development
Human Resources
The
Philippines is a country that has an abundance of under-utilized human
resources. An economic matrix
within the Philippines to utilize the existing human resources is lacking.
Natural Resources
Flora
Nearly 95%
of the landmass was covered with natural forest but today only 2.7%, while the cutting of trees to produce
charcoal causes a net loss of the remaining forests, whether natural or second
growth.
Economic Value of Deforestation
It can be
figured that US$2.7 trillion in logs were shipped out of the country and most
of the transactions were not officially recorded. Conservatively, the value-add was US$6.75 trillion in
today’s dollars and nearly 100% was lost to the people of the Philippines.
The fauna
diminished, erosion began and the silting of the reefs caused significant drops
in local fish stock. The losses,
combined, rose above US$6.75 trillion with annual losses for more than 60
years.
The
national education system enabled the overseas employment to become feasible
and most popular.
The mining
industry provided little to the individual other than day labor to the few.
The Philippines
was once a net exporter of agricultural produce, but it has switched to being a
net importer.
Local Attitude, Can this Work?
The popular
assumptions that the poor farmer will not work to grow a tree or anything else
that he cannot immediately benefit from is a myth, it just requires a truthful and
feasible explanation.
Please simply donate
$3.00 or any amount and the feasibility will be sent by reply. Thank you.
